I feel like in our office we hear all the time "well this is just NORMAL for me". PAIN IS NOT NORMAL. It might be what you have experienced for a while but, it doesn't have to be that way.
50 Million, or 20% of Americans, will go to the doctor in any given year for pain.
What is pain?
Pain is actually a sign that something is not functioning well in your body. It is your brains way of telling us that it needs help fixing or healing something. Now that doesn't always mean that the area that you feel pain in is the problem. Many times your brain is good at sending specific signals to help someone who works with the brain understand what and where the issue is. For example, many people come into the office with shoulder and neck pain. Though this may be due to improper use of your neck and shoulder, it can also be your brain saying that the brain stem specifically is under intense stress, irritation or inflammation.
The Nervous System controls every muscle, tissue, organ, and cell in the body.
When our body responds to pain as a symptom, it's trying to tell you that something isn't functioning 100% within the nervous system. The tough part now though is figuring out what is going wrong. Sometimes its as easy as relieving that nervous system of irritation via the spine.
So how do we help?
We strive to remove any interference within the spine to release muscle tension, joint restrictions and bound up inflammation to allow your body to function at the most optimal potential. SO many of our patients begin to notice that their bodies begin to unwind and start healing following being adjusted and allowing that brain and body to communicate properly.
